I’m a writer, recovering pastor, photographer and data storyteller.
I picked up a camera to get some great self portraits on my solo travels, and discovered that turning the camera on my friends shows that I see them as a reflection of me. My friends are always ready with a pose, a look or a fit. I wanted to capture the casual intimacy between friends that didn’t expect a photoshoot that day, but the light and colors were hitting them in such a way that the moment was perfect. I wanted others to see that pause in the mid-bite, or mid-laugh or mid-step. Being with my friends is a joy, it’s an art. It’s us. It’s just us.
